RBI on Thursday allowed issuance of RuPay Prepaid Forex cards by banks in India for use at ATMs, point-of-sale machines and online merchants overseas. Further, RBI also allowed issuance of RuPay Debit, Credit and Prepaid cards in foreign jurisdictions, which can be used in India and internationally. "These measures will expand reach...of RuPay cards globally," Governor Shaktikanta Das said.
