India's largest private lender HDFC Bank on Wednesday confirmed that the RBI has allowed it to issue new credit cards after an eight-month ban. However, the bank added that restrictions on new digital launches will continue till further review by the RBI. In December 2020, RBI had imposed these restrictions due to instances of outages in HDFC's internet banking services.
