RBI has cancelled the Certificate of Registration of 35 Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) for non-compliance with regulatory requirements. While 16 NBFCs have surrendered their Certificate of Registration. The central bank said that these companies are no longer permitted to carry out the business of non-banking financial institutions and cautioned public to verify the regulatory status.
