RBI has penalised LiquiLoans and LenDenClub for violating the regulations related to peer-to-peer (P2P) lending. While LenDenClub has been fined ₹1.99 crore, a penalty of ₹1.92 crore has been imposed on LiquiLoans. RBI said the firms didn't disclose required personal details of the borrowers to the prospective lenders and disbursed loans without specific approval of individual lenders.
