RBI imposes ₹2 cr fine on Standard Chartered Bank for delay in reporting frauds

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday imposed a penalty of ₹2 crore on Standard Chartered Bank, India for delays in reporting of frauds. The delays were revealed during the statutory inspection of the bank. A notice was also issued to the bank, advising it to show cause as to why penalty should not be imposed on it.
