RBI injected ₹48,014 crore into the banking system to manage liquidity via a seven-day variable rate repo (VRR) auction at an average rate of 5.26%. RBI has infused ₹3.50 lakh crore of durable liquidity into the banking system since January 2026. Currently, the liquidity is estimated to be in a surplus of around ₹75,483.63 crore.
