The RBI has launched a retail sandbox for its central bank digital currency (CBDC), allowing fintech players to build and test products in a secure environment. "It will help create new use cases, improve customer experience and add value to ongoing pilots," said RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra. Firms can join the sandbox directly or through their partner banks.
