The RBI on Thursday proposed a ban on non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) from offering revolving credit facilities. Under the draft amendment to its Credit Facilities Direction, RBI proposed that NBFCs should offer only term loan products. RBI defined a term loan as a fund-based credit facility with a fixed amount to be repaid according to a predefined schedule.
