The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has reportedly rejected YES Bank’s proposal to set up an asset reconstruction company (ARC), also known as a bad bank. The RBI reportedly cited the presence of large stressed loans such as Essel, Videocon and DHFL's on YES Bank's books for the rejection. YES Bank had sought approval for the ARC in September 2020.
