RBI has signed an MOU with the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU's financial markets regulator. This will facilitate cooperation and exchange of information for the recognition of central counterparties (CCPs) supervised by RBI. It marks a key step for the Clearing Corporation of India Ltd (CCIL) to reapply for recognition under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation.
