In order to ensure rationalization of currency notes in circulation, RBI Wednesday said it will completely withdraw all the notes issued prior to 2005. These notes can be identified easily as notes issued before 2005 do not have the year of printing mentioned on them, stated RBI, adding that the notes will have to be exchanged at banks from April-1.
