Researchers from the University of Bayreuth in Germany has successfully achieved a record pressure of 1 trillion pascals in laboratory. A pressure of this magnitude is roughly three times higher than the pressure found in Earth's core. Such extreme pressures and even temperatures help in several areas like explaining the properties and structures of materials and synthesis of new materials.
