The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for a heatwave in Delhi on Thursday. The maximum temperature in Delhi will hover between 43-45 °C and there is a possibility of very light to light rain or thunderstorms in the evening or night, the IMD added. Heatwave is expected to reduce in the national capital from June 13 onwards.
