Dakshina Kannada district has been placed under a red alert following intense rainfall. As a safety measure, all schools and Anganwadis will remain closed on Thursday, June 12. The district administration has declared a holiday for all educational institutions, including government, aided, and private unaided schools, from primary to high school level.
