India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in Mumbai and adjoining areas for Friday and Saturday. It has predicted 'heavy to very heavy rainfall' in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg for today. Moreover, an orange alert is in place till July 12, which may change depending upon the rainfall received during the next two days.
