With temperatures surpassing the 45 degrees Celsius-mark across several parts in north India, IMD on Sunday issued a red warning for Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajasthan for the next two days over "heat wave conditions". "[It is] to caution people not to step out between 1 pm and 5 pm," Kuldeep Srivastava, head of the regional forecasting centre said.
