Red meat may raise type 2 diabetes risk by 49%: Study

A study in the British Journal of Nutrition warns that eating large amounts of red meat may raise the risk of type 2 diabetes by up to 49%. Researchers analysing nearly 35,000 adults found that the risk of developing the condition increased with each serving. Meanwhile, replacing red meat with plant-based proteins could lower diabetes by about 14%.
