Two red pandas arrived in Darjeeling Zoo from Rotterdam in the Netherlands on Christmas. "Two-and-a-half-year-old red pandas have been brought to add genetic diversity to the zoo and for conservation breeding purposes," member Secretary of the West Bengal Zoo Authority, Saurabh Chaudhury said. "No red pandas were brought from any foreign country in the past 10 years," he added.
