The Regional Transport Office in Pune has labeled 18 taxi aggregator companies, including Rapido and Redbus, as illegal for operating without appropriate licenses. The RTO has urged the Transport Commissioner to shut down their websites and apps following demands from unions. Ola and Uber are excluded from the list as they have applied for licenses under the central aggregator policy.
