Over 3,000 Reddit communities, also known as subreddits, are planning to go private on Monday to make their posts inaccessible to those outside their communities. The move is in protest against Reddit's decision to try to monetise access to its data. Forums such as r/todayilearned, r/funny and r/gaming, each with over 30 million subscribers, have signed up for the campaign.
