Reddit plans logged-in-only access to read posts, CEO says

Reddit will shift to a logged-in-only experience, CEO Steve Huffman told shareholders, with tests starting this quarter in select markets outside the US. Huffman said Google's AI mode and AI overviews cut search traffic to Reddit "meaningfully". Over half of Reddit's 50.7 million daily US users read without logging in, its earnings release shows.
