Kerala Power Minister K Krishnankutty said the state electricity board is contemplating power cuts if the coal shortage situation in north India continues. "There is a shortage in supply from the central pool," he added. "If people reduce their consumption during the peak hours from 6 pm-11 pm, then we could overcome the crisis," KSEB chairman B Ashok said.
