Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai said he "has regrets" that collegium headed by him couldn't recommend a single woman judge to Supreme Court in his six-month tenure. "But in so far as High Courts are concerned we had recommended 16 women judges," he added. CJI further said his collegium always believed in wide representative to women members.
