Through investments in Reliance Retail and Jio Platforms, Reliance has raised $12.1 billion or nearly 45% of private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) investment in India in 2020. This doesn't include the $10.2 billion in strategic investments by Google and Facebook. Indian firms received $26.3 billion across 547 deals so far in 2020, according to a Venture Intelligence report.
