Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries on Tuesday said its unit Reliance Retail (RRL) has acquired consumer goods company ITC's menswear brand John Players. ITC said it sold the John Players brand and related trademarks and intellectual property to Reliance Retail as part of its restructuring plan. Reliance Retail operates more than 9,900 stores across 6,400 plus cities in India.
