Reliance Industries' JioMart has laid off more than 1,000 employees, Economic Times reported. These layoffs are part of a larger round that would reduce the workforce in its wholesale division by over 9,000, the report said. Recently, Reliance acquired Metro Cash and Carry and added its permanent workforce of 3,500 employees, following which there have been overlapping roles.
