Reliance proposes ₹2.73 lakh-cr investment in Andhra coal project

Reliance Industries rose 0.45% to ₹1,313.35 after reports said the company has proposed investing around ₹2.73 lakh crore to develop an underground coal gasification complex in Andhra Pradesh's Eluru district. The investment would be spread over 30 years. The project will use deep coal reserves in the Chintalapudi and Recherla blocks to produce synthetic gas (syngas).
