Reliance Consumer will acquire Ravalgaon Sugar Farm's trademarks, recipes and intellectual property rights associated with its sugar boiled confectionery business for ₹27 crore. Surge in competition, inability to pass input price rise to consumers beyond ₹1 price point and weak demand during COVID-19 pandemic led to the sale. The deal includes a six-year non-compete clause for Ravalgaon.
