Construction workers building a highway in Italy's Ponso uncovered a 5th-century BC ancient sanctuary, leading to a detailed archaeological investigation. The archaeologists found large rectangular foundation structures believed to be temples, including one with columns on all sides. Several inscriptions were also found, some in Latin and many in Venetic script, used by the ancient Veneti people.
