Remembering Kalpana Chawla on her 21st Death Anniversary

Kalpana Chawla soared from humble beginnings to become the first Indian woman in space. With an early passion for aeronautics, she pursued aeronautical engineering in Punjab. She joined NASA in 1988. Tragically, her second mission in 2003 ended in disaster, cementing her legacy as a national hero. Despite her untimely death, Chawla's impact on science and space exploration lives on.
