Reminiscent of fascist state: Press bodies after journalists detained during CJP protest
Four journalist organisations, including Press Club of India, criticised detention and harassment of journalists covering Delhi protests. They alleged reporters were detained despite displaying press cards. Demanding a public apology from Delhi Police, they also added that deployment of 22,000 police and paramilitary personnel to prevent peaceful questioning was "reminiscent of a fascist state".
