Removal of name from electoral roll doesn't mean loss of citizenship: SC

Supreme Court said deletion of a person's name from the electoral roll during Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise doesn't automatically result in the loss of citizenship. It said Election Commission isn't the authority to determine citizenship and that removal from the voter list alone can't deprive a person of that status. The remarks came while hearing a related petition.
