A reporter asked Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman if GST rate cuts for multiple products were linked to US President Donald Trump's 50% tariffs on India. "Tariff turmoil isn't a matter which influenced GST reform because we've been at it for 1.5 years," she said.
