A new research published in the journal Chemical Senses claims to have found a sixth taste sensation - the taste of fat. The volunteers, who were asked to clip their noses and sample taste qualities, described it as a “unique” and “unpalatable” taste. The scientists said that the discovery could help develop fat replacements to curb obesity and heart diseases.
