A team of researchers at University of Massachusetts Amherst have made the discovery of what they call a "shape-recovering liquid". The discovery challenges long-held principles of thermodynamics, as per experts. The researchers found that a mixture of oil, water, and magnetized nickel particles can form a specific shape (a curvaceous urn) that consistently reappears even after vigorous shaking.
