Researchers make voice-controlled 'smart dustbin' for contactless waste collection

Researchers from Lovely Professional University have developed a "smart dustbin" to collect and dispose of waste in a "contactless" manner. They said its use in hospitals could lessen the risk of coronavirus transmission. Summoned via voice commands, "Ally" travels on predefined paths. It automatically opens its lid for waste collection and initiates disposal after filling up to a certain level.
