Retail inflation in India falls to 3.16% in April, the lowest level in 6 years

India's retail inflation in April 2025 fell to a near six-year low of 3.16% over 3.34% recorded in March 2025. The highest inflation rate of 17.42% was recorded in prices of oils and fats, followed by fruits (13.80%). Meanwhile, the inflation rates for prices of meat and fish, vegetables and pulses recorded a decline in April 2025 over April 2024.
