Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday said Centre should return 50% of the taxes collected from Maharashtra for the development of the state. He claimed when Maharashtra sends ₹1 to the Centre as tax, it gets back only seven paise. This comes as leaders of several states organised protests alleging unfair distribution of taxes to states.
