The Home Ministry has directed police officers to return privileges like official vehicles, personnel at their residences and personal security within a month of their retirement. “In case, a retired officer fails to follow the instructions, he should be made to pay for various privileges,” it stated. A compliance report in this regard has been sought by October 31.
