Author Shantanu Gupta has revealed Yogi Adityanath's connection to Ram Mandir. He said that mentor of Yogi’s mentor - Digvijay Nath did first pooja at Ram Janmabhoomi in 1948. He also said that Yogi’s guru, Avaidyanath led VHP committees on the movement and now that Ram Mandir has been inaugurated, Yogi is the CM.
