A day after Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) refused to renew the registration of Oxfam India under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, the organisation said the action would "severely affect" its humanitarian work, including COVID-19 relief work, in 16 states. The licence is needed to receive funding from abroad. "We'll urge the MHA to lift the funding restrictions," Oxfam India stated.
