Rice production in the Kharif season of 2022-23 will be 104.99 million tonnes (mt), which is 6% lower than last season's production, the Union Ministry of Agriculture said in its estimates report. In the last Kharif season, 111.76 mt rice was produced. The ministry said this season's estimate is 4.40 mt higher than the average of last five years.
