The Gujarat child rights commission has sought a report from the police and civil administration on the steps taken by a Jain couple, who recently announced their decision to embrace monkhood, to secure their three-year-old daughter's future. The couple, who also plan to renounce property worth ₹100 crore, had started planning for monkhood when their daughter was eight months old.
