In a notice issued to the authors and distributors of the book 'Gas Wars: Crony Capitalism and the Ambanis', Reliance Industries and its chairman Mukesh Ambani have demanded Rs.100 crore by way of damages. They have also added the charge of quoting "an utterly defamatory and mischievous" statement by ex-WB governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi that "Reliance is a parallel state".
