RIL to transfer Jamnagar gasification unit into wholly-owned subsidiary

Reliance Industries (RIL) said its board has decided to implement a scheme of arrangement to transfer gasification undertaking at Jamnagar into a wholly-owned subsidiary. "Repurposing...gasification assets will help use of syngas as a reliable source of feedstock to produce chemicals and cater to growing domestic demand," it added. This will result in an attractive business opportunity, RIL said.
