Radiation and nuclear safety watchdogs in Sweden, Finland and Norway have detected a rise in radioactivity levels in northern Europe, although it's harmless to humans. A Dutch agency said that calculations show that the radionuclides come from the direction of western Russia. It may "indicate damage to a fuel element in a nuclear power plant," the agency added.
