Doctors are seeing a rise in Young-Onset Parkinson's Disease (YOPD), diagnosed before age 50. While symptoms mimic late-onset PD, YOPD progresses slowly but brings more emotional and motor challenges. Dr Avinash Kulkarni, Consultant Neurologist at Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Bengaluru, says early diagnosis and lifestyle changes are key. Genes, pollution, and toxins may be driving this trend.
