Intensive river surface cleaning will begin this week at ten locations along the banks of Ganga. The initiative under the Namami Gange Project will be backed by a Bhuvan Ganga mobile application to ensure real-time monitoring of river surface pollution. The floating debris will be collected and cleaned off the river surface to bring "visible change" to Ganga waters.
