As the heatwave in India has claimed over 1,400 lives in various parts of the country, roads in some parts of the national capital New Delhi were seen melting due to the high temperature. As per weather officials, the hot and dry northwesterly winds from the deserts of Rajasthan are the reason behind this extreme heat.
