Rocket Lab is planning to launch the first private mission to Venus to probe the signs of life on the planet. The California-based company is building a spacecraft to fly through the planet's upper atmosphere, almost 30 miles above its surface, for roughly five minutes. The mission will be carried out using Electron Launch Vehicle and a Photon spacecraft.
